2D Annotations: Add Context Directly to Case Images

2D Annotations allow you to communicate visually on photographs stored in Documentation. You can highlight the exact area you want others to review and add a note without leaving the image viewer.

Create a 2D annotation

1. Open the required image from Documentation.
2. Select the Annotations tool from the image toolbar.
3. Use the drawing tool to highlight the relevant area.
4. Add a note and mention a collaborator when needed.
5. Save the annotation.

The annotation is shared through Team Chat and remains connected to the original image. When a collaborator selects it, Smilecloud opens the image and returns them to the annotated area.

Manage your annotations

Annotations can be edited or deleted when the information needs to be updated.

Use 2D Annotations to communicate aesthetic requests, identify details in clinical photographs, or give clear visual instructions without creating separate screenshots.
