<p><span style="color:rgb(0,0,0);">The </span><strong>Share Link</strong><span style="color:rgb(0,0,0);"> feature allows you to invite dental professionals — whether or not they have a Smilecloud account — to </span><strong>collaborate on a case for a limited time (24 hours)</strong><span style="color:rgb(0,0,0);"> as guests.</span></p><h2>How Does It Work?</h2><h3><strong>✅ Generate and Share the Invitation</strong></h3><p>When you invite a dental professional to a case:</p><ul><li>A <strong>Team-Up invitation</strong> and a <strong>unique guest link</strong> are created.</li></ul><p>You can choose to:</p><ul><li>Send the invite via <strong>email</strong>, or</li><li><strong>Copy the link</strong> and share it via any messaging or social platform.</li></ul><figure class="image"><img src="https://cdn-assets.productfruits.com/146ef617-8f24-491b-a04f-05b3a1ac937c"></figure><h3><strong>✅ Accessing the Case as an Invitee</strong></h3><p>When the invitee clicks on the shared link, they will land on a page offering two options, depending on their Smilecloud account status:</p><ul><li>If the invitee <strong>has a Smilecloud account</strong>: They can click <strong>“Login”</strong> to join the case using their existing account.</li><li>Or, they may choose to join <strong>as a guest</strong> by following the instructions at the top of the page.</li></ul><figure class="image"><img src="https://cdn-assets.productfruits.com/36e12e46-f0d5-48ae-8d85-d4ab9b2d35a7"></figure><h4>&nbsp;</h4><h4>If the invitee <strong>does not have a Smilecloud account</strong>:</h4><ul><li>They can create one by clicking <strong>“Create my own account”</strong> to join as a regular user.</li><li>Or, they may choose to join <strong>as a guest</strong>, using the guest instructions provided.</li></ul><figure class="image"><img src="https://cdn-assets.productfruits.com/cbbe1a06-437e-4ade-88ee-65f246be8aae"></figure><h3><strong>✅ Verifying Guest Access</strong></h3><p>If the invitee chooses <strong>Guest Access</strong>: They must click <strong>“Send verification code.”</strong></p><ul><li>A <strong>One-Time Password (OTP)</strong> will be sent to their email (valid for 5 minutes).</li><li>After entering the OTP, they will be granted access to the case.</li></ul><blockquote><p>Once verified, the guest is redirected directly to the case they were invited to.</p></blockquote><figure class="image"><img src="https://cdn-assets.productfruits.com/e0da10de-212d-4a43-9d81-0627d21df3b7"></figure><h2><span style="color:rgb(0,0,0);"><strong>🎯</strong></span>What Can Guests Do?</h2><p>Guests have access to most collaboration tools — with a few limitations:</p><p>🚫 <strong>Guests cannot:</strong></p><ul><li>Invite other dentists to the case</li><li>Remove case team members (except themselves)</li><li>Delete documentation files or galleries</li><li>Create or delete projects</li><li>Modify patient-related information</li><li>View or change subscription-related details</li><li>Access any other cases they may have been invited to previously</li></ul><h2><span style="color:rgb(0,0,0);"><strong>🎯</strong></span>Guest Statuses in the Case Team List</h2><p>Guests are listed in the <strong>Case Team</strong> section with one of the following statuses:</p><ul><li><strong>Pending</strong> – Invitation sent but not yet accepted</li></ul><p><i>Tip:</i> Hover over the status to copy and resend the invite link.</p><ul><li><strong>Active</strong> – The guest has accepted the invite and currently has access</li></ul><p><i>Tip:</i> Hover to see how much time remains from their 24-hour access period.</p><ul><li><strong>Expired</strong> – The 24-hour guest access window has ended. The guest no longer has access to the case.</li></ul><p><i>Tip:</i> Generate a new link if you need the guest to join the case again.</p><h2><span style="color:rgb(0,0,0);"><strong>🎯</strong></span>Summary</h2><p>The Share Link feature is a fast, flexible way to collaborate with peers — even those outside the Smilecloud ecosystem. It’s designed to maintain security and privacy while allowing powerful short-term teamwork on a case.</p><p>&nbsp;</p>

<p>We heard your feedback, and we’ve made sharing unsupported files easier than ever.</p><p>With the new <strong>Drop-in Chat</strong> feature, you can now send and receive file types that aren't supported in Smilecloud's main documentation flow. Simply drag and drop the file into your project chat, and your team can download it instantly.</p><p><strong>Supported formats include (but are not limited to):</strong></p><p><code>.XML</code> files</p><p><code>.MOD</code> files</p><p>Image formats like <code>.KEY</code> and <code>.RAW</code></p><p>⏳ <strong>Important:</strong> The download link is active for <strong>7 days</strong> from upload, after which it expires automatically.</p><p>This makes collaboration smoother, especially when working with external tools or large raw data files.
