Metalab - Order System

Before ordering any service from Metalab, make sure that:

• You have complete and accurate patient files, including photos, intraoral scans, and CBCT. [Guide for Photos Here]

For non-surgical cases, CBCT is optional; however, providing it increases the precision of the final design.

• You have created a Smile Design or a Blueprint and validated it with the patient in advance.  [Guide for Smile Design Here] [Guide for Blueprint design Here]

Tooth morphology is subjective, and prior validation ensures the patient agrees with the proposed aesthetics.

Once the order is placed, the selected teeth library will be used by the technicians to produce the final printable or millable output, and changing the library is not possible. 

Before you order! 

Read the description of each service carefully and make sure you have the required documentation ready. The required Photo Protocol is here: [Guide for Photos Here]. Pay special attention to ensure you provide the correct input for your order. 

Create Order

• Click on the Metalab tab to open the Order System

Click “Create Order”

Select your approved Smile Design

Choose your desired service(s) and make sure you select the correct specifications such as arch or arches, delivery times and materials when your order contains manufactured products.

Once you add all the products to your order, click Continue.

Requirements. 

On this step, you will select the appropriate files. Scans and CBCT if available. In case you have files from different appointments, make sure you select the ones that truly reflect the patient's current clinical situation. 

Click Continue -> review the order and proceed to payment. 

Payment

Invoicing! 

By default, the billing details are those of the case owner. If you are not the case owner, make sure you select CUSTOM billing details and add the correct information

Once submitted:

• A Metalab coordinator joins your case automatically
• A technician is assigned based on your case specifics
• All communication takes place in the Case Chat

Step 3: Review and Download

The technician will upload a preview of the 3D design to the case.
Here’s what happens next:

• You review the preview
• If needed, request a revision (1 included)

📌 Note: The design includes 1 revision for changes in position/angulation. Changes in tooth shapes require a new order.

Once approved, the printable or millable final file is added to your case
